If you don’t like the sight of blood and gore, look away now.

RAW is the feature film debut of director Julia Ducornau. When the new teenage cannibal horror movie premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival last year, it reportedly made audience members collapse. Ambulances had to be called to theatres.

Now, whether that is just some clever marketing ploy or not, watching the new NSFW trailer of the film makes the story pretty believable.

With some striking, shocking imagery, RAW follows a shy 16-year-old girl who, as she journeys to become a veterinarian, must endure a gruesome hazing tradition that sends her spiralling through a “grisly tale of female sexuality and cannibalism.”

For a debut feature, this looks like an amazing achievement by Ducornau, and one that has had critics in universal raptures, with some calling it ‘a deliciously fevered stew of nightmare fuel.’

Please, before you press play on the clip below…please remember this…What has been seen cannot be unseen. Not for the faint-hearted.

You have been warned.

RAW will be released in Australia in March 2017.
